Build your driving skills in both automatic and manual vehicles with our complete Beginner Driver Education (BDE) package for Ottawa students.
- 20 hours of live instructor-led virtual theory
- 10 hours of HomeLink / flexible instruction
- 8 hours of private automatic driving lessons
- 4 hours of private manual-transmission driving lessons
42 hours of total training, including 12 hours in-car. The theory format describes how you attend class; all driving lessons take place in person.
Pickup and return transportation for BDE lessons are subject to the school’s service area and agreed arrangements. Automatic and manual lessons may be scheduled separately or with different instructors, subject to availability.
Complete the theory before starting in-car training. Please allow 2–3 weeks after submitting your completed in-car request and required documents for lessons to begin. Standard BDE in-car training typically takes 2–4 months from the start of lessons. The complete BDE program must be completed within one year from the start of theory.
